I have been so excited for this wedding all year and it was even better than I could have imagined. If I could photograph this wedding every single weekend, I totally would! Keep reading for one of my favorite love stories!
Derick and Belén have been together for four years after meeting while Derick was deployed. That one little fact already makes this one of my favorite love stories, but it gets even better! They’ve been long distance for most of their relationship, and in their case, distance definitely made the heart grow fonder. The way these two love on each other is unlike any couple I’ve ever met. You can tell with every interaction how much they cherish their time together and it was such a privilege to be there for their day. I always like to take a minute to brag on my grooms, but Derick impressed me more than any other. Belén’s entire family is from Peru and don’t speak much English and Derick embraced their culture in the sweetest ways. On top of learning his welcome speech in Spanish to be able to properly welcome her family, they had the sweetest dances and their families truly came together as one on their wedding day.
To say their day was beautiful is such an understatement and it was such a blessing to be a part of!
Is she not the most beautiful bride?!
They had the sweetest first look!
I’m also a professional dress-fluffer, in case you’re wondering 🙂
One of my absolute favorites from their day!
The sweetest rose petal ceremony!
THEY’RE MARRIED!!
I LOVE getting to get a photo with EVERYONE that attends a wedding! A huge thank you to the staff at Summerfield Farms for getting us a ladder to make this happen!
And I just had to include this one of Belén and her parents because they were the sweetest people ever.
How perfect is that sunset?!
On to the reception!
One of the greatest things about having two photographers on your wedding day is that while I was photographing the reception decor, Ans Photography was photographing all of the fun at Cocktail Hour!
Thanks for all of your hard work, Ashley!
How adorable are they?!
